I like that Bill Nye has in recent years become more and more like the go to science guy for news stations. I like this because

1. he knows what he’s talking about
2. he explains it incredibly well
3. and he always looks really fucking fed up with the fact he’s on CNN

I agree. Bill Nye has such a frustrated subtext about him. “School should have taught you this bullshit, but instead, JOURNALISTS had to hire me, instead of thousands of other scientists, who might be more qualified, mostly because you’ll pay attention to me because i’ve been on TV before. Also I’m wearing a bow tie.”

But he IS a really effective go-to science guy for today’s science-laden disasters.
