I was going through this awesome set of pictures from 1960’s bell labs I found on reddit. and I stumbled across this.
I actually had one of those things when I was a kid. I found it at a garage sale and offered the dude $2 for it. Thing took over 80 vacuum tubes and smoked every time I turned it on, but god damn did it scope those oscillations good. Having no practical use for the device, I hooked it up to my stereo and used it as the worlds worst iTunes visualizer.
