In This Video:

[First 10 Seconds]: Prototype NASA lander takes off, and immediately crashes. 

[Next 2 Minutes]: Lander is on fire. 

[Next 1 Second]: Lander Explodes.

[Next 7 Minutes]: Lander is still on fire.

[Last 5 Minutes]: Fire department is spraying foam onto lander. 

NASA does some great stuff. Mars Curiosity is a fantastic achievement for all mankind, and you can’t create new technologies without experimentation. Experimentation, by its very nature, sometimes fails. Like here. But that’s how we learn. 

And if this video proves one thing: It’s that NASA’s research into making spectacular explosions seem boring as hell is going smashingly.
