The best part of this is definitely the Obama Campaign’s remark on the matter when asked about Eastwood’s speech:
Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt, for his part, offered this comment: ”Referring all questions on this to Salvador Dali.”
Good Answer, Ben.
Headlines I’d really like to see.
(the article would continue something like “he acquiesced to users requests to place footwear onto his head, but lost support when he refused to insert a permanent marker into one of his orifices”)
But the fact that today Obama does a Reddit AMA, and Mitt Romney buys a sponsored twitter trend says more about this campaign than any pundit ever could.
Lets go over the thought processes:
- Obama: “I’ll take questions from people on Reddit, and people will get a kick out of it, and it will be a whole internet thing. Plus it’s reddit, they love me anyway. Like.. Its reddit. “
- Romney: “Can I buy popularity on the internet? Oh, I can? I’ll take eight.”
Or something like that. There’s poignancy in this, somewhere.
